As our readers will recall from earlier articles, all natural and legal entities that deliver electronic commercial messages were obliged to register with the Centralized Commercial Message Management System (“IYS”) and the deadline for registering the opt-in consents of recipients with IYS was most recently extended by the Ministry of Commerce until 1 December 2020 due to COVID-19-related reasons.
The Ministry of Commerce announced on 30 November 2020 that the deadline for registering the opt-in consents of recipients with IYS is extended yet again:
- The deadline for service providers who have more than 150,000 opt-in consents is specified as 31 December 2020. Accordingly, the deadline for the recipients to check these opt-in consents registered in their names has been extended to 15 February 2021,
- The deadline for service providers who have less than 150,000 opt-in consents is specified as 31 May 2021. Accordingly, the deadline for the recipients to check these opt-in consents registered in their names has been extended to 15 July 2021,
