As our readers will recall from earlier articles, the period of short-term working was extended for employers who already benefit from the subsidy and the government extended the term for benefiting from softened application requirements for short-term working until 31 December 2020.
Pursuant to the Presidential Decrees numbered 3316 and 3317 published in the Official Gazette dated 23 December 2020:
- The government has extended the term for benefiting from the softened requirements until 31 December 2020 so that workplaces that have not applied for the short-term working subsidy until then will have the opportunity to file their applications until 31 January 2021.
- The period of short-term working subsidy has been extended for 2 months until 28 February 2021 for the same employees under the same conditions in workplaces that applied for short-term working until 31 December 2020 (including 31 December) due to force majeure events originating from Covid-19.
