SCOPE OF ARTICLE 7 OF THE PORTS CODE AND ITS REFLECTIONS ON PRACTICE :

Within the scope of the amendment made in 2017 to Article 7 of the Ports Code No. 618, a regulation parallel to the 2007 Nairobi Wreck Removal Convention—to which Turkey is not yet a party—has been established; the authority of the administration has been expanded beyond wrecked vessels that merely obstruct navigation to encompass stranded, semi-submerged, abandoned, or idle vessels and their associated property.
